It is standard procedure that clients requesting the use of their own materials should have these items
covered under their own insurance policy. The maker cannot be held responsible for loss or damage.
Deborah Cadby | Cadby & Co. will do our utmost to ensure that the customer' stone or materials are looked after to the highest standards but please understand that the use of the clients own materials is not as straight forward as using new metals or unset stones. When stones are removed from their original settings it is possible that they may be found to be worn, flawed or chipped. In the event that the customer is not aware of such hidden flaws Cadby & Co will inform them of such damage and recommend cutting and polishing at an additional cost. The additional cost of this work is to be borne by the client. Cadby & Co will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to the client’s property however caused. Removal of a stone from an existing setting always comes with some risk of damage to the stone. Please make sure that damage of this kind is covered in your insurance as Cadby & Co will not be held responsible. Any unused materials will be returned to the client.
Work should be collected from our workshop address unless the client requests for it to be sent by post.
Cadby & Co will always send using an appropriate insured delivery service. This service may have an
additional cost. Cadby & Co will not personally deliver to clients.
